Riding Lessons Whether you are riding a horse for the very first time or are polishing up your equestrian skills to excel in pleasure riding or the show ring, Silver Dollar Stables offers both private and group lessons to make you the rider you want to be. Two outdoor riding rings and our spacious indoor facility allow you to continue your training year-round. In addition to our staff of professional trainers, internationally acclaimed instructors bring their one-of-a-kind instructional clinics to Silver Dollar Stables throughout the year! Meet Our Instructors: Kathy Culler shares over 30 years of experience with each and every student. She is certified by the American Riding Instructor Association, a United States Pony Club Instructor and a Level II Centered Riding® Instructor. Centered Riding (a philosophy of teaching and learning riding) addresses how the rider’s mind affects the body, and how both then interact with the horse to establish enhanced communication between horse and rider. Sherry Mahon has 15 years of experience owning, riding, training, and showing her own horses and has been a riding instructor for 5 years. A Centered Riding® Instructor and Certified Teacher of Art trained to teach effectively to students with different needs, Sherry also has a minor in Equine Science from Centenary College where she competed on the Riding Team. Jan Hatherell returned to working around horses seven years ago when her daughter started riding.  She has experience running a camp riding program and especially enjoys teaching students who are beginning riders or who are returning to riding later in life as she did. Anne Stevens, the owner of Silver Dollar Stables, is a Centered Riding® Instructor who takes time out of her busy schedule to do what she loves best - helping beginning riders develop the skills and habits to be safe and comfortable around horses.
